Mountain Dew
Mountain Dew also known as Mtn Dew (who really says that?) is a well known soft drink made famous for its ability to sustain the constitution of gamers during grueling sessions of video game play and/or when playing fantasy tabletop role-playing games such as D&D. Indeed, it is often referred to as the “Nector of the Gamers”.
Its properties are indispensable when it comes time for a group of weary gamers needing to rearrange their mothers’ basements so their neckbeard friend Gary the cleric can join them on their quest to save the city of Ichethore from an invading horde of wild zombie donkeys. After all, furniture can become quite heavy sometimes and what better pick me up than a blast of two-thousand percent of your daily sugar intake in one sitting!
For reasons not yet fully understood, it becomes even more potent when coupled with the flavored triangular corn chips known as Doritos. When enough Mountain Dew is consumed over an adequate period of time, it’s said you can almost feel your toes starting to tingling.
In addition, Mountain Dew is arguably the healthiest choice when it comes to sugary soft drinks as it contains a small percentage of actual orange juice. That means it’s healthy. Don’t worry about the calorie count. In fact, don’t ask any more questions.
There are a plethora of additional flavors in addition to the basic green (also just called regular) variety you see everywhere. Mountain Dew started bringing out additional flavors in 2001 when a cherry flavored modification called Code Red debuted. It did well, and so they continued bringing out new flavors and specialty drinks with limited production or region and retailer-specific variations of the Dew. For instance, Taco Bell carries Baja Blast. This blue-green soft drink is quite delicious and tastes nearly identical to actual Baja. My son always requests one when we purchase a taco twelve pack. We try to eat healthy around here.
Apart from the flavors mentioned above, I’ve seen orange, blue, white, and black. Well it might have been purple, I don’t know. I don’t even know what their actual names are. You can watch the video below and it will give you a better understanding of the different types of gaming fuel that are available for purchase.
