I first came across this recipe when looking for Lord of The Ring’s related dishes. It was originally called Smaug’s Balls. I played around with it a little and renamed it a much more sophisticated Smaug’s Gems, but now that I’m sharing it with the entire world, I think maybe they need another new name…
How about Deez Nutz Balls???
Andrew’s response? “What demographic are you aiming for? 6-12 year old boys, and 27-34 year old woman? (My age range.) (<– The latter of course.)
“Hey,” I replied, “I bet the guys on $h!tfacedchefs would like it! Besides, any 6 year could make these themselves…. minus the whiskey. …unless it were ours.” (Yes, that’s right. I censored the curse word, but am perfectly fine with letting my 6 year old cook with booze.)
Anyway, these are not just for boys, middle-aged tomboys, or adult adolescent boys. Ladies, these would be PERFECT at your bible study or book club! (With or without the whiskey, of course.)
*UPDATE: My mom says they should be called “Schweddy Balls.”
