We have already made an easy recipe for tzatziki, but not everyone wants cucumber in their dressing so this Greek dressing is another option. It’s perfect for gyros and burgers, or simple dipping vegetables. I’ve also used it to make an outstanding seafood coleslaw.
Greek Dressing
By: Semiserious Chefs
Makes: 1 cup of dressing
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup beef broth (or vegetable)
- 1 T packed, finely crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 t dried oregano
- 1/4 t dried marjoram
- 1/4 t dried thyme
- 1/8 t black pepper
- 1/8 t garlic granules
- 1/4 t salt
- optional: 1/8 t ground sumac
Directions:
- Whisk together the yogurt, sour cream, and broth.
- You’ll want the feta cheese to be as finely broken up as possible before you gently pack and measure it. This will allow it to blend in the dressing better; less noticeable texture.
- Gently grind the thyme to break it down into smaller bits, using a mortar and pestle.
- Add the cheese, herbs, and spices to the creamy blend and stir well. Ready to serve!
